As a living, natural resource, timber is highly sustainable and it is PDS Forest Products policy to source and market timber from sustainable and well-managed coniferous forests which maintain high environmental standards.

We strive to take on the challenge of supplying Softwood Timber, while remaining conscious of our environmental responsibilities - the protection of our natural environment remains at the core of our Company ideals.

Predominantly our timber comes from Canada, where forestry is controlled by strict government control. The government of British Columbia is recognised throughout the world as having one of the strictest forest practice codes anywhere in the world. www.for.gov.bc.ca/code/ explains the forestry and range practice codes under which all logging is carried out in B.C.

PDS agrees to comply with the UK Trade Regulations to obtain clear information about the sources of all our timber and that all our suppliers conform to government regulations and environmental policies in their own national and regional context. PDS are committed to up-hold PEFC Chain of Custody values and systems.
